π David Peel & The Lower East Side β Have a Marijuana (1968) Upcycled Record Album Wall Clock β RARE/BANNED Album Art Collectible
Turn your favorite chill-out space into a groovy conversation zone with this one-of-a-kind upcycled record clock, handcrafted from the infamous 1968 album Have a Marijuana by David Peel & The Lower East Side from New York.
π₯ This album was banned from radio airplay nationwide for its unapologetic pro-marijuana lyrics β including the single βI Like Marijuana,β which was also banned. David Peel became one of the most censored, banned, and underground artists of the 1960s and 70s, making any surviving album art an ultra-rare and wildly collectible piece of counterculture history.
Since only the album cover was found without the vinyl inside, I was excited to upcycle this great piece into functional wall art.
Creatively Enhanced with:
πΏ Glow-in-the-dark marijuana leaf markers at 12/3/6/9
πΏ Glow-in-the-dark hands permanently set to β4:20β β the ultimate wink for any enthusiast and suggested as a permanent display time (No batteries required β just leave it fixed at 4:20 for the perfect vibe).
A groovy, rebellious, and totally unique statement piece for your favorite hangout, lounge, studio, or 420-friendly haven.
